The 2025 Built Heritage Investment Scheme for Galway City is up & running. Grants of €127,000 have been allocated. Along with private match funding this creates €460,000 of investment in Galway's historic buildings. Funded via @DeptHousingIRL, administered by @ConservationGCC

The first thatch training course in 15 years has officially begun in Kilkenny, marking a pivotal step in preserving one of Ireland's most critically endangered traditional skills. This full-time, 42-week course, launched by The Heritage Council in partnership with the Kilkenny Carlow ETB Training Services is designed for individuals wishing to pursue a career as a thatcher in Ireland. We're thrilled to be part of this journey to safeguard our heritage skills for future generations.
