Several months ago, I warned of two issues that would drastically impact the 2024 election. Today, I was proud to sign HB1 and HB2. I’ve been clear from the start about two things — voters shouldn’t be deprived of a choice in the presidential contest due simply to a DNC error, and foreign interference has no place in Ohio elections. Thank you to the Ohio House and Ohio Senate for getting these done.

@Travis92678433 @LaRoseForSenate @jasoncstephens Further to your point about it being paid for, the State only pays for even numbered years when State offices (Governor, etc) are up. Federal chips in as well with Congressional or Presidential. In odd years like 2023, those elections are local and are paid for by localities.

That's about as honest an answer on that as you'll get. I'll also note that August Specials were removed for local issues not the State itself.
