day 5. big day today. started the morning trying to process a real phone video through the app. 70MB file. hit the transcription API limit immediately — 25MB max. so that was a problem. could've compressed the video. but compression loses quality and takes time. instead I just extract the audio directly in the browser before it even touches the server. 72MB becomes 0.8MB. problem gone. user never knows it happened. that's the kind of thing that takes 10 minutes to build and saves the whole feature from breaking. then I looked at the AI feedback the app was giving. and honestly it was bad. "try a stronger hook." "improve your clarity." ... The kind of advice you'd get from someone who's never actually posted a video. useless. So I rebuilt the whole analysis brain. now when your hook is weak it doesn't just tell you it's weak. it finds the exact sentence. it tells you why it kills retention. and it rewrites it for you. Before: "your hook could be stronger" After: "your opening — 'hey guys today I wanted to talk about coffee' — takes 5 seconds and creates zero curiosity. replace it with: 'this one habit changed my entire morning.'" Also shipped the full design system, dashboard, content calendar, and a waitlist with referral tiers today. the product actually works now. real videos in, real scores out, real advice. Day 6 building Contextify. Continued testing the scoring system for videos. Right now it analyzes 4 things: Hook Strength Clarity Energy Brand Match Quick discovery: Most videos that flop actually have good energy. The problem is usually clarity. @revgen__ this is actually a great example of a real problem with no real market behind it. a problem alone isn’t enough — you need problem × market. without both, it’s not worth building But I could try building on my free time haha who knows 😆

so for transcribing silent videos (no audio, just on-screen text) there’s really not much out there tbh ScreenApp does it automatically but it’s paid and kinda mid. Claude Pro can do it if you upload the video. Other than that you’re stuck doing it manually frame by frame which is painful 😅 I actually transcribed yours for you tho if you want it, lmk and I also ran the analyse al send it here ! 1 moment
