On Monday, June 22, 2026, Contra Costa Fire will conduct a 2-2.5 acre prescribed fire on Hunsaker Canyon. It aims to reduce fuel loads, eliminate invasive plant species, and lower fire risks during Red Flag weather events. Crews will begin operations at 9:00 a.m.
