@mattcolville @srhall79 Some of it is to do with existing dice collections. My wife makes dice, we collect dice, and a game that lets us use them gets a bump. A game where we can only use tumble polished, mass-produced dice made of plastic isn’t as engaging. Not a deal breaker, just not as shiny.

@srhall79 I think I get it, a lot of people don't want something TOO new. And I think some people imagine it's going to be "hard" to get the dice, but we're confident that's not going to be an issue. We're trying to make a game, not make money on dice.

So far, nothing but positive comments on the announce. Which means they haven't gotten to the Patreon post about Dice yet. 😅

@mattcolville I love the recasting of the mental statistics; the differences (at least, as conveyed by their names) are subtle, but significant and better, IMO. For whatever some rando's internet opinion is worth.

Rewatching #CriticalRole's first #HoneyHeist; I had forgotten what a riot it was. Getting to watch @matthewmercer actually play, hearing @Marisha_Ray's pitch-perfect impressions of everyone, wincing at @BrianWFoster's parade of jokes...I love this so much.

@matthewmercer FWIW, despite your anxiety (which is never evident to me as a viewer), your DMing is inspirational. Literally: it has inspired me to DM a campaign for the first time in almost 30 years.

Improvising live nearly weekly is its own anxiety when it comes to this, & every game is preceded with an internal ritual of calming in hopes of untying myself. While the comfort of my friends around me helps tremendously, that panic never truly goes away... it only diminishes.

This is a great breakdown of the process of stuttering and how it personally feels. I went through years of speech therapy growing up to work on mine, and to this day my words still get caught, stumbled, or run together. I am mortified when it happens in a VO session.

@GlennAlanBerry @peschkaj @jdanton Honestly, I’m not certain how this is a debatable point. The move from spinning disk to SSD was huge. When I moved from “traditional” SSD to NVME, I can’t say my gaming experience improved at all. Now I just need to replace my RX 580.

@peschkaj @jdanton I use nothing but PCIe NVMe storage in all of my desktop machines, just because it is faster and more pleasant for normal use. If I was budget limited, I would always favor the graphics card over the storage performance. Most games are not going to be hitting the disk much.

Our daughter is finally in Girl Scouts, and I couldn’t be happier.

Had to leave the location before final numbers (past our daughter’s bedtime), but by visual count, it looked neck-and-neck #Bernie2020 and #Warren2020, with #Buttigieg2020 a competitive 3rd. #IowaCaucuses
