As we head into Mother’s Day weekend, representatives from CCH, CCDPH, CountyCare and the CCH Board of Directors, were joined by Senator Dick Durbin to discuss maternal health care, the impact of impending Medicaid cuts, and what those on the frontlines are seeing.

Preeclampsia is a serious pregnancy condition marked by a sudden rise in blood pressure. If not treated, it can lead to seizures, stroke, organ failure, and even death for the mother and/or baby. It can happen in any pregnancy so every mom should know the warning signs.
