Localist, small-is-beautiful, anti-corporate, eco-conscious libertarianism sells VERY well. It attracts everyone from Paleocons, to blue dog Dems, to hippies and RFK types. I know because I work in politics and campaign strategy, have run for office, have debated politicians and pretty squarely won, and have had thousands of conversations explaining what I believe to everyday people. The messaging I stand for is more in-touch than niche anarchist and Austrian Econ rhetoric, lecturing people about argumentation ethics, being reflexive contrarians, or taking the Zuluite approach of putting the most schizoid libertarian positions out there first and foremost.
