@mateosfo Oh good, now x is failing to post my edited text after I updated first draft... Meant to apologize a for posting a quibble. Walkability is improved. And is lapping most others. I just think elected leadership has done this hesitantly /almost by accident, not sincerely

Counterproposal: I will personally destroy all 51 (or so) of the people movers at 10% of the proposed rehab cost and MWAA can use their savings to build a walkway.

Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority gave preliminary approval to rehab a people mover/mobile lounge and a plane mate. The unique vehicles are nearly 60 years old. If the rehabs go well, they'll then vote to redo the other 50 or so vehicles. dcist.com/story/23/06/21…

@DDOTDCDirector Removing the bike lanes is bad. But aside from that, K st has dedicated service lanes on the outside today. So now we're just spending millions of dollars to move them to the inside and... that's it?

The trail connection has been in advanced planning for 10+ years, with at least 2 traffic studies on this street. Multiple charter schools have been there for years. Apartments don't just get approved and pop up. Let's go already

Hopeful this is resolved, AND that it’s a lesson to the city to work w/existing infrastructure on solutions when choosing to increase population density through new development.
