Akira Kurosawa's run started in 1948 with Drunken Angel and continued for 5 decades straight until his death with 24 absolute masterpieces under his belt including Seven Samurai, High and Low, Rashomon, Ikiru, Throne of Blood, and Ran. Completely insanity. Can't be topped.

@realdrunknpoet And I'd say only Peter Falk can deliver the line like he was everyone's grandfather.

@CopaExMachina My #1 movie of all time: The Princess Bride was a masterpiece, but if there is one line that sticks out, to me, above all the rest, it is this one. At the end, it calls everything back , and he tells his grandson that he loves him. The framing device becomes an emotional driver🤌

@Joe_A_Blevins Bob Clark, the dude only knew two ways to go; complete shit or absolute classic but his run of Porky's, Porky's II, and A Christmas Story was pretty legendary. And then on the opposite side there were Baby Geniuses 1 & 2 and The Karate Dog all within 4 years lol

@TropesAuthor I like in A New Hope he was losing his shit all over the Tantive IV and manually choking people.

@CopaExMachina JEJ's voice is considerably different in each of the three OT films. I always thought how unemotional and controlled he was in Empire was the best. That exchange, and his chats with General Osell and Captain Needa are particularly cold.

@AfterHoursFP Either one winning would have been perfectly acceptable. In my mind it's a tie. 2007 was the death rattle of cinema, we just had no idea at the time.

I don't want to be called a racist, but I'm sorry: I think these two black guys look the same.

@matt_gruman Tom Cruise was such a great antagonist. He deserved at least a nomination for this role.

@realdrunknpoet Even when the surprise that Tom Cruise is in this was blown, this is still such a shockingly great comedic performance. "I will massacre you. I will FUCK YOU UP!" [click] "Did you ever find out who that was?"
