@KadynTatman @Section344Lions It’s March. Most teams don’t roster more than 4 actual edge players on their 53 man. Guys like Bosa likely won’t sign until after the draft with a June 1 designation to not mess with comp pick formulas for 2026. They will surely take an edge in Round 1/2 and sign a vet still.

@CopelandFFWorld @Section344Lions I get what your saying but I’m gonna say right here rn to only have 3 edges on the roster rn what are we doing with guys like Bosa and Cameron on the Market because in the draft they have to go tackle first round

We don’t have the EDGE answers yet, but I don’t think you can say Brad Holmes is doing nothing at this point. Center was the biggest need IMO. They immediately addressed it w/ a clear upgrade on an affordable deal. RB2 ✅ DB Depth ✅ TE Depth ✅ Backup C/G Depth (Scruggs) ✅ OT Depth/Fringe Starter (Borom) ✅ QB2 ✅

@KadynTatman @Section344Lions You are prematurely writing off the 2025 first rounder imo. And again, you’re debating two things. Is the issue the lack of investment (it’s not, this is what I’ve been responding to) or the lack of players to pan out (stay healthy/be good/etc). The issue is players working out

@CopelandFFWorld @Section344Lions All I’m saying is this dline has one guy maybe McNeil if he can get back to his old self and if you look at pass Super Bowl winner’s defense has always been there strong suit especially with the dline

@KadynTatman @Section344Lions He’s never resigned Paschal. He actually had a whole extra year of control through 2026 and outright released him. He did resign Levi last year and this year. Last year was a one year deal worth less than Lopez (who we didn’t mention) and this year it’s a veteran league minimum.

@CopelandFFWorld @Section344Lions I forgot about tyleik but when it comes to the dline he needs to stop re signing guys who stay healthy for one game like Levi and paschal and Davenport and really invest in someone that can help hutch I think maybe Tyleik and McNeil can be okay maybe some more depth

@KadynTatman @Section344Lions He had two of his second round pick DEs returning from injury in Paschal and Onwuzurike, resigned Davenport (as mentioned), and drafted a round 1 DT to go with McNeil and Reader. His issue is more of an overconfidence in his former picks. That’s highly invested starters & backups

@CopelandFFWorld @Section344Lions I think bad choices is bringing back Davenport for a second time or waiting till what the 6th round to draft an edge last draft who didn’t even play we currently only have 3 edges on the roster I love the offense but I feel like that’s all he cares about the defense needs more

@KadynTatman @Section344Lions I’m confused, did you not read my post? He’s put a GIANT emphasis on DL. Who of that bunch have worked out is a different discussion. He’s 100% invested in DL. If the debate is only 30% of premium investments have hit, then sure. The knock isn’t lack of priority, it’s bad choices

@CopelandFFWorld @Section344Lions Besides hutch and McNeil and reader he has done nothing for the dline and reader was awful last season he needs to put more priority on the dline in my opinion

@IAmEricVincent This is what happens when your GM prioritizes being a scout rather than building a firm foundation and having stability with good players instead he waists money on mediocrity and banks on picks in the draft

#Lions fans got so mad at me for saying I have no faith in the team or Brad Holmes right now. Since then, the defense has massively downgraded and the team has had one of the most underwhelming free agencies…but I’m “crazy” and a “hater”🤷🏾‍♂️
SleeperLions@SleeperDetroit

It’s fine… we’ll just draft our starting LT, LG, Edge, CB and S Not to mention another LB, some more DB’s and probably more D line help. It’s fine. I’m fine. Everything’s FINE

@KadynTatman @Section344Lions Premium Additions Since Holmes took over in 2021: 21: Round 2&3 DL Traded for Brockers Signed Harris 22: Round 1&2 DL 24: Traded for Smith Signed Reeder Signed Davenport 25: Round 1 DL That’s A LOT. 23 is the only year they punted DL & it’s because 21-22 saw 6 priority guys.

@Section344Lions Why does it seem like we never care about the dline I feel like the o line and dline should be major priority’s before anything else

@Devoted2DET Less than two days later and we’ve added the TE3 (probably TE2), priority backup safety, and our starting nickelback. Looking into AR as possible QB3. Rounds 1 and 2 likely RT and DE2. 7 day three picks to fill DT3, bench LBs, and general depth.

@Devoted2DET I expect OT, DE2, or DB to be their “big” signing left. The other two are probably Round 1/2 picks. They then have 7 picks between rounds 4-7. That’s easily your depth 5 remaining actual holes, plus some more insurance wherever they feel is best.

Lions LB Jack Campbell leads the NFL with 82 tackles behind the line of scrimmage or within three yards of it. That’s the third-highest total by any defensive player in any season over the last decade. Sorry to burst the bubble for folks like Will, below, who mistakenly claim “Campbell is the king of bringing down a RB, 4 yards past the LOS”
Will@WillBeStonks

@BoxscoreUC @FootballGuy_Al Thank PFF for proving that Anzelone can’t cover? I knew of their respective PFF grades, largely based off of tackles. Jack Campbell is the king of bringing down a RB, 4 yards past the LOS… such a “great player…” 😂🤦‍♂️
