Mind you black trans women were at the forefront of the gay rights movement and were key figures in the Stonewall uprising. It’s gays like you that the community does not claim or embrace.
Ty’s Tough Talk🇺🇸@toughtalkty
Gay people deserve to have our community back. The TQ needs to go.

Trans women on HRT experience hot flashes, breast development, fat redistribution, and muscle atrophy that cis men simply don't.
We're physically closer to cis women than our former selves. If you actually cared about "biological reality," you'd acknowledge hormones drive these characteristics, not chromosomes.
You don't check anyone's karyotype before treating them as their observed sex.
Treat trans women as women (because we are) and stop being an asshole.
Dev@sleepy_devo
nobody reasonable actually thinks that trans women metamorphose into biological females you fucking retard. the ask is not "believe that men are women", it's "don't be an asshole". you don't have to like trans people. you do have to leave them alone.

LEZING OVER TRANS-IDEOLOGIE

Recently, a TRA account @JoEllisReally took Rudy @theneonrequiem (FD: I've known Rudy for years and have always know him to be honest and accurate in his representations about early gay history, which is my own lived experience) to task by stating flatly stating that "(t)he T was never excluded in gay movements until recently. They were always included."
This is untrue. Ellis presented no evidence to support the veracity of their statement about Ts never having been excluded. The truth is that there is no evidence to support the assertion that Ts had any meaningful involvement in the early gay liberation movement. In fact, the early T groups excluded gays or chose to not involve themselves with gay liberation organizations.
Let me provide a few examples from the historical record.
In the early 1960s, Arnold "Virginia Prince" Lowman, a straight crossdresser, formed the first T group in America known as FPE or "Full Personality Expression". FPE specifically excluded gays from membership. The UK offshoot of FPE similarly excluded gay crossdressers. These exclusions of gays were maintained well into the 80s.
After the Stonewall riots, a small group of us proposed a commemorative march to be held a year later while at a fall gathering of 'homophile' groups. There were no Ts at that meeting. Less than a month before the march in June of 1970, Lee Brewster, a lesbophobic gay male crossdresser, contacted our organizing group, the Christopher Street Liberation Day Umbrella Committee, and charged that we had excluded his organization, the Queens Liberation Front. Nothing could have been further from the truth because we had never heard of him. After an exchange of letters (available in gay historical texts), we learned that they were just being formed and couldn't help with the march other than to make a small donation. QLF was more accurately a front for Brewster's crossdressing merchandising operation. There's a telling video of him on YouTube addressing the 1973 Pride march, calling the lesbians in Washington Square Park "b*tch*s" and, for the first time that I know of, making the claim that LGBs owed crossdressers for their gains back then. Again, nothing could have been further from the truth and everyone there knew it. Listen to the booing on the video.
This state of affairs continued for years. At a T conference in 1993, trans heterosexual crossdressing jurist, Phillip "Phyllis" Randolph Frye, noted the divide that had existed between LGBs and Ts, and called for it to change.
You might have known about this if you knew LGB and T history from sources like historical texts and archives, rather than the revisionist "history" that has been created during the teens and 20s of this century on social media, Jo.
In short, it was always the Ts doing the excluding until they figured out that they'd get nowhere without latching onto the LGB. I, like many, many others, am done with that arrangement.
