Montana, thank you for electing me to serve as your next State Senator (30). I stand on the shoulders of giants like Tester, and promise to fight every day to ensure MT families have the resources, care, and support they need to thrive. The road is long, and we are ready. #mtleg

My grandfather would talk to me about how over and over again they said to each other ‘this can’t happen in Austria, this can’t happen in Germany.’ I was raised with stories about how ‘you’ can’t expect other people to stop the deterioration of ‘your’ rights. To have masked unidentified federal agents disregarding local law enforcement, arresting and detaining, kidnapping people, that does remind me of the Gestapo. bozemandailychronicle.com/news/bozeman-s…

Today, Gallatin County said WE ARE WATCHING. Montanans believe in local control, personal freedom, and common sense. And right now the federal government has gone too far. Thank you Bozeman and Belgrade high school students for mobilizing and making your voices heard! So, so proud of you.

“What’s happening in Minnesota is a test case for federal overreach that threatens every single state in this country, and Montanans would never take lightly to uninvited federal government agents in masks coming onto our land. And if you know Montanans, you know that,” said Montana Sen. Cora Neumann at a press conference in the Minnesota Capitol. dailymontanan.com/2026/01/30/rep…

We want rule of law and law enforcement to work well and to be respected, and not put our residents and citizens in harm's way. What we don’t support? Masked, unidentified federal agents harming and killing civilians. kbzk.com/news/montana-p…

In Froid, Montana, residents say the arrest of a longtime neighbor by Border Patrol has “rocked everybody’s world.” Our latest story looks at how a community of 195 people is responding — and what comes next. buff.ly/gtqQINm

Montana believes in law, order, human dignity, and the principle of states’ rights to self-governance. While it’s protocol for officers involved in a fatal shooting to be placed on administrative leave, leave alone is not accountability. Together as Montanans, we will continue to demand justice and the rule of law. Here is our statement - from 503 legislators in 47 states.

There’s a national consensus, across Democrats and Republicans, that it’s NOT okay to have masked, unidentified agents terrorizing our cities and rural communities. For me, this is the final straw. If it's happening in Minnesota and other places, there's no reason it can't happen here. montanafreepress.org/2026/01/26/mon…

Last week, I decided enough is enough. Over the past week I have been off-line organizing my colleagues across the country to show up in Minnesota and say we will not stand for this. I was hoping to get 10 to 12 state senators and representatives to join us.... we are now *over 100 state senators and representatives from 26 states*, and we needed to close registration because the response was so high (to manage security). We will be bringing a message from our constituents - from red states, blue states, and our populations from every background - that we will not stand for this terror in our streets. Americans overwhelmingly support rule of law, but we DO NOT support masked, militarized federal agents terrorizing our communities and murdering innocent civilians with no accountability. Fascism wins when we let leaders divide and conquer. We stand in solidarity with our colleagues, and we will not back down. #minneapolis #mtpol

This is Gestapo behavior. 'ChongLy Thao, 56, a naturalized U.S. citizen who goes by the name Scott, was returned home later on Sunday without explanation or apology, he said.' apple.news/ATW2xnM_eSmi5e…

While ICE murders American citizens in our streets and the US illegally invades sovereign countries, Trump is making moves that could destroy the value of every dollar you own. In short, he's trying to oust Fed Chair Powell so he can control America's money supply. If Trump gets rid of Powell and installs his own chair, in his own words, his goal is to print money freely to "cancel" the $36 trillion national debt: 2016: Trump said the US would never default because "you print the money" (CNN) 2017: Trump told adviser Gary Cohn to "just run the presses — print money" to eliminate debt (Woodward) Reality: This doesn't eliminate debt, it transfers it to you & me, the American people, through devastating inflation. Here's how: - US starts printing money without restrictions - Inflation spikes (too much money chasing same goods) - Our dollars lose value - often rapidly - Americans' buying power, savings , retirement funds - ie our lives and futures - would all plummet This is a hidden tax on every American. The government's debt disappears and Trump claims victory, but our wealth disappears with it. Ask Venezuela, Zimbabwe, or Weimar Germany how printing money to pay debt worked out (every single economy collapsed). Forget politics, this is about whether the money in your bank account will still be worth something next year. When a president says "just print the money" and then moves to remove the one person with the power to say no, every American should be paying attention. #FederalReserve

Thank you. I learned this from my grandfather, and carry it to the Senate floor every day. The attacks will keep coming, but we will maintain this focus - bc this is what our constituents want, and deserve. Proud of us, Montana. #mtleg #mtpol @CBSMornings

@CBSMornings Love that: “Don’t look left, don’t look right, look ahead, to the goal.” Well said. We need the unifiers, who put their constituents first, in every way, and every time.

Nine Republican Montana state senators voted with 18 Democrats to form a new majority to pass major legislation last session, undermining the influence of the ultra-conservative caucus of the state’s GOP. Dubbed “The Nasty Nine,” the Republican senators were censured by their own party, stripped of their GOP status and cut off from voting rights at their party’s conventions in June. Some of those senators — and two of the Democrats they voted with — spoke with @jolingkent about what they accomplished: “We voted for lower income tax relief. We invested in infrastructure. We invested in the future of Montana.”
