@CorelliTV if you like co op roguelikes you would probably like risk of rain 2. lots of it is specifically designed w co op in mind

Good Roguelike/roguelite list. I would add Gunfire Reborn to this list as well. Very few Co-op FPS Rougelikes out there

@sebdot right i think the people caring part is the second biggest issue. I won't pretend to have the details, but seeing the Rank S 6mans leaders boards, or lack there of, seems to indicate that there are issues with pro buyin, justified or not I think that hurts the value prop

@CorelliTV Dev doesn't need to do this as it's entirely third party. FPL also runs on a freemium model that could absolutely work if people care. Other route is people just go back to 6mans.

I think Pandora's box is already out for RL ranked. The only way that high elo will play consistently without ranked issues (bots, DDoS) is with the introduction of a FPL or ESEA pug system that requires more anti-cheat and player verification. It's run CS for years, it's time.

282k peak, 257 concurrent rn...wow Random thoughts comparing differences between 1 & 2 - Hallway fights / elites are a lot more interesting - The decks you build are a lot more fun and obvious - Co-op doesn't work well for a lot of roguelikes but its amazing for StS

Slay the Spire 2's concurrent Steam players just hit 179,456, the highest ever for any roguelike. When StS1 first launched back in 2017, it had 193 concurrent players. That's a 92,982% increase, meaning StS3 is on track to hit 166,861,777 concurrent players by 2035. 💪

@BassFromThePast They only added a few achievements in the last DLC I dont think any were attributed to dead god, just Multiplayer stuff.

Between Slay the Spire 2 and Mewgenics I never need a new video game ever again. If there is ever another Binding of Isaac DLC I would implode

@TheDangerTaco I think there is a general disrespect to the game when it comes to speed. Most of the time those viewers are just coping. I think others hear and read about the word "speed" so much they actually think pros are literally moving faster than them. Regardless its just lazy analysis

I think this compounds with this weird sense that *watching* gameplay makes it feel slightly slower and more accessible I still get viewers who come in to my streams watching GC3 like "hey man idk what rank this is but this looks like my C2 games" Then on viewer days or 1v1 days they're getting dusted to every read and are like "hmmmm I miscalculated"

.@CorelliTV first called this phenomenon out CRL is not marketed nearly as much as RLCS, so RLE fans only know SSL gameplay via pro play. Thus, fans do not know what most of SSL looks like Pros are near flawless, so anything SLIGHTLY worse is seen as low level gameplay 😵
