@GlattSebastian @NatureComms @MCB_UJ @TingYuLin1031 @uni_kassel @RappsilberLab Fascinating that human ELP123/456 don't behave exactly like others in full complex reconstitution. We haven't tried cryoEM with the Drosophila one, but considering the divergence of their ELP456 I wouldn't be surprised if the interaction isn't fully conserved across species.

Finally got around to reading this paper, and wow! Seeing transition states with cofactors and ligands - that's what got me hooked on X-ray crystallography back in uni. So much to learn here! Congrats to the team at on this amazing work!

@jason_tanny I think it's beautiful that Elongator went from elongating transcription to elongate microtubules. A long way indeed, we'll see what's next! This complex is full of surprises.
