Just turned volume up on this Texas-NC State game and Barkley and Vitale literally just spent two full minutes talking about other teams and games. Now they’re talking about the portal and fired coaches. Crazy pairing those two together.

That ump also missed two calls in the top of the ninth. Both were clearly outside and he called em strikes. But that last pitch … good grief. Dude had an insanely good AB to earn a walk. Oh well! Moving on!

If Bruce Pearl wanted Auburn in the tournament so badly maybe he should’ve stayed? Instead of handing the program to someone who isn’t nearly as good a coach as he is. Just a thought.

Considering the competition, can’t imagine an FSU team has ever had a better start to conference play. Back-to-back shutouts followed by a blowout. Against No. 12 team in the country. On the road. Yeesh.

On the topic of softball: Isa Torres has now reached base 19 times in a row (!!). I’ve never seen anything like that. She’s batting .888 (!!) since returning from injury. 24 of 27. AND she just scored from first on pop fly lost in the sun with an incredible slide. Unreal player.

She’s sensational. I’m not even sure this was her best play of the day.

After watching that title game I legitimately think the three best teams in the ACC right now are Duke, UVA and …… FSU. Not even sure it’s debatable. But alas … only two of those three will be in the dance. Still, FSU was a legitimate Sweet 16 caliber team last 2 months.

Also, that 16.5 point spread was a joke. Hope Vegas lost its ass on that one. And I hope some of you got rich!

Shout-out to all the seniors. Steen blocked Boozer's shot to get his team the ball there at the end. Jones was unreal all night. McCray was great the whole tournament. Wiggins made some big-time shots. And, most importantly, didn't quit. On the game or the season.

Man. Would have loved to see McCray take that to the rim. But what a finish and what a fuckin fight from that team. A real joy to watch. Truly.

Oh well. It was fun while it lasted. Missed FTs, turnovers, and Duke’s terrific play is a tough combination to overcome. Boozer is ridiculous.

Needed Magee to knock that one down. Wide open in his corner. Great possession. Nobody near him. Shots you gotta make against a team like this.

Wiggins has had some great moments this year. Made some big shots. But he’s got to go grab some rebounds or his college career is going to end. 0 rebounds in 19 minutes isn’t going to cut it. FSU can absolutely win this if they compete better on the glass.

All First Four games should be between bubble teams. It's insane and infuriating that conference champions have to PLAY IN to the NCAA Tournament. Make the bubble teams battle it out.

I'm pretty damn confident there aren't. As Luke pointed out though, he wasn't trying to make a case to get an at-large. He understands they almost certainly have to win the ACC Tournament. But these last 7-8 weeks have been something else.
