Good on Chris Murphy. Bringing progressives together to defend democracy & to defeat corruption is vital for the world community. The more voices that are heard countering the far right the better. Far right hardliners have been traveling worldwide to influence & spread their ideology. With little push back it has allowed them to make some headway. But the difference between the rest of the world citizens and Americans is that most of the former are much more sophisticated and well educated about politics & current events (at least in Europe they are), bc their media are not allowed to lie, fabricate or disinform the public. In other words if you watch Fox News in Europe and elsewhere, you would not recognize it. They report the facts unlike here in America. Furthermore, Europeans know more about what is going on in America that a significant chunk of Americans do. Bottom line, for freedom to reign preserving democracy and defeating corruption will take the world community uniting to keep fascism at bay.

I am in Barcelona today to help unite progressive parties from around the world in a defense of democracy and a war against corruption. A first of its kind event. Necessary to beat back the forces of fascism.
