#TMRGUK Can we get a thread of short modern day freight workings? I know there's plenty of people whose layouts can't take a rake of 20+ HTAs, so this is for inspiration. Bonus points for things that aren't engineers workings or stock moves! (Pic isn't mine)

@CornbrookStreet @accurascale I think more railroad to hornby than the others. Guessing they’ll go through the entire range an cherry pick what they want to have in theirs

So will Heljan be to @accurascale what EFE is to Bachmann, or what Railroad is to Hornby? Or something else?

Did Bachmann forget like 90% of their market this quarter?

So I finally got around to picking up an @accurascale Class 60, grabbed a random Dapol 8 function decoder, which will run the loco, but no tail lights and it seems to have stay alive that happens very fast and in only one direction. Any thoughts anyone? Do I just get a LokPilot?

What's that? A 5th Class 60 tooling in OO? I mean, at sub £100, I'll be interested to see how it comes out.

Will that be the livery used on everything from IETs to Sprinters? Or will local, commuter and express services get different liveries? I'm assuming TFW, LO and Scotrail will keep their liveries, will Manchester gain Bee Network yellow trains? Similar for other local authorities?

So we've had 47s turned into 57s, 56s turned into 69s, and I guess a few 73s into 73/9s. Is someone going to do something with those 58s still sitting on the continent or are they too far gone?

Putting an EMD power unit into an older loco is basically just an LS swap but for trains. That's my observation of the day.

I feel like this line from the @accurascale announcement has been overlooked. Is this DCC uncoupling that can be fitted at a later date to the base 08? As opposed to Bachmann's SF Deluxe only approach? Could this appear on other Accurascale models later?

Further to my trying to think of a layout to justify a Class 313 or 314, I've found myself watching late 90s/00's videos of Kensington Olympia... Why am I doing this?

Why am I now thinking of layouts that I could build to warrant buying a Class 313 or 314? I haven't really got anything else to run alongside either...

Picked this Heljan 47 up for less than £60 the other day, seems like it might be brand new. Really can't complain at that

I think the time has come to start dismantling the loft layout. Focus on doing a smaller layout that can be "finished" and expanded on in the meantime, but one day the big layout will be back...

So Bachmann are finally revealing the 170 soon then.

Also, recent purchases; WCRC Class 57, plus the Hornby EWS management train coach pack thing. Are they the exact right stock to haul behind it? No. But they're maroon MK2s and they were cheap, so I can't complain. Looks about right to me.

A slight rearrangement, down to a single fuel point and more stabling space adjacent to the station.
