@Carly_Lyes I have no recollection of ever being in the ladies at the Arch bar, but I remember the place well and it was a real powder keg between students who lived nearby and locals who thought they were Paul Calf.

@1990sUtd I can’t remember if this was in the book, but as that game was being played, it was announced that Leeds had lost 4-1 at Loftus Road. I reckon that was a massive factor in the atmosphere becoming one for the ages.
It had been pretty subdued until pretty late in the second half.
