We want your story! The 2026 Commonwealth Short Story Prize has begun 📚 Citizens of Commonwealth countries aged over 18 can enter. Stories should be between 2,000–5,000 words and must be unpublished fiction. Entry is free, and you can write on any theme. Five regional winners will be announced next May. One of these five will be named the overall winner and receive £5,000. The regional winners will receive £2,500. All five regional winning stories will be published on Granta.
