@CorrectLaxTakes

This site has a lot of terrible lacrosse takes made by people who never played at a high level. I am here to change all that.

I have a hot take. I love lacrosse and think it’s the greatest game in the world, but I don’t care about the pll at all. I get the reason they made the rules the way they are, but it just changes too much

Watching the film of some of the games from the weekend and I’m consistently impressed by the depth of Princeton’s offense. They’re still going to get buonanno, their 2nd or 3rd best option, back at some point. SCARY!

I’d love to see the amount of games played standardized. There should be no world where cuse plays 15 and nd plays 11. 13 is the most common schedule, but I’d like to see 14 or 15 become the standard personally

@QKessenich has by far the most accurate poll this week. No notes. As I’ve said, I’d rank ND over Princeton right now, but I’d favor the tigers head to head.

A couple great games this weekend, but I’m really interested to see Princeton v Harvard. On paper, the spread should be tigers -4.5+, but the crimson are desperate. I think it’ll be a close one. Can Princeton keep mauling teams like this?

@College_Crosse I think ND has a more deserving #1 resume right now but, if they played head to head, I’d take the tigers. If Princeton wins out including the ivy tourney, I’d have a tough time not making them the 1 seed

@College_Crosse UNC doesn’t have the depth that other teams do. When Shawn Lyght takes out Duffy then the whole offense stagnates

We’ve been saying for weeks we wanted to get a look at what Carolina looks like when Wambach doesn’t dominate faceoffs and they have to play from behind and uphill Well….we got a glimpse today

@firstclasslax_ It also works the other way. It’s really common for guys who played attack in high school to then play mid as a college player, especially in freshman/sophomore years. A lot of these guys actually were playing out of position as middies, now they’re back to their whole life

Many college teams moved star midfielders to attack recently. Of course, you want your best offensive player to be on the field more, but there are other reasons why this change could unlock an offense. 📺 "This New Scheme is Quietly Dominating College Lacrosse" is out now 👇

@james_hoganv @TerpsMLax Agreed. Maryland just has so much talent every year they are always a contender. Their 9th midfielders is better than 99% of teams’ 6th middie. For them it’s always about how the pieces fit, the talent is never the question

Maryland will be in Championship Weekend this year 👀 I’m calling my shot. @TerpsMLax plays their best lacrosse when the lights are brightest, and you can never count them out against anyone. I’m not doubting John Tillman. They’re always battle tested and built for May 🐢

My national title contenders in order: 1. Princeton 2. UNC 3. ND 4. Syracuse ND and Cuse are tied for me. I struggle to see anyone else with a chance, but wouldn’t be surprised to see Cornell enter the conversation either.

@StickTalk_Lax UNC is #1 and they’ve earned it, but I think Princeton should be the national championship favorite. 1 loss vs 2 losses, but unc’s loss came against Princeton so it’s debatable

@CorrectLaxTakes @kanefootwear @Inside_Lacrosse I'd go a half-goal either way — I'm a Richmond believer. But more importantly, I'm a "deserving" voter, not a "quality" voter, so that question is only a tie-breaker in my process.
