@KuKhahil i can tell ausar really wants to shoot. so i’m 100% certain he improves his shooting ability this off season. duren has shot a couple of mid ranges before and made them so if he keeps that up, the spacing will be way better
Trajan Langdon says Ausar Thompson and Jalen Duren are "going to be expensive".
Says that will make optionality tough, but they will improve around them the best they can. Says people need to understand they're not making moves for just one season, they're building for sustained success and won't do anything that is an all-in move for one season.
@KuKhahil This is the result of success. I don't mind building around Cade, Ausar, & Duren (still iffy on him). The biggest issue is trust. I don't believe fans trust Trajan to go get difference-making talent to put around them. He has to make real moves, not old vets who are liabilities.
I’m in disbelief how many people are upset that Trajan Langdon thinks building around the 24/23/22 year olds, who won 60 games in their 2nd competitive season and won the first playoff series in 20 years, is the way they should go moving forward.
Legitimately in disbelief.
@Section344Lions@seanhalfcourt We need a star point guard first and foremost. Ja Morant or Kyrie etc. Need to get Cade off the ball. Then we need a couple stretch bigs.
@seanhalfcourt They won’t be an MPJ or whoever else away from winning next year, either.
So is the plan to just not try for the next decade while OKC & San Antonio still exist?
Anyone who watched that Spurs-Thunder game last night and still thought that the Pistons were a Michael Porter Jr away from competing with them this year are full of shit lol

Kyrie Irving is headed to Detroit in this scenario.
Expected to be 100% healthy at the beginning of next season, he fits better with the Pistons timeline and gives him a chance at another finals appearance.
Cade Cunningham gets some help on offense.
Pistons receive: Kyrie Irving
Mavericks receive: Duncan Robinson, Caris LeVert, 2026 21st pick, two 2nd round picks.
