Let me be very clear since y’all really don’t know the difference.
Zelensky showed up in Washington begging for billions in U.S. taxpayer money and couldn’t even put on a suit.
He came here asking for something.
The Saudi Crown Prince showed up announcing over ONE TRILLION DOLLARS in investment into the United States — and he wore his cultural attire, which is the equivalent of a suit in his country.
He came here bringing something.
There’s a difference between a man asking America for money…
and a man bringing America money.

@dandcaldwell These aren't "strategic nuclear forces" in reserve - these are the Tu-95, Tu-22M3, and Tu-160 bombers "regularly used by Moscow to launch missiles at Ukraine" and have been conducting nightly attacks on Ukrainian cities. They're active conventional warfare platforms..

Ukraine has a right to defend itself and has suffered tremendously from Russian air attacks last few weeks.
But it is not in America’s interest for Ukraine to be attacking Russia’s strategic nuclear forces the day before another round of peace talks.

@MEpiskopos This mischaracterizes both the strategic impact and the targets. These bombers are the same aircraft "Moscow uses to launch long-range missile attacks on Ukraine's cities"- they're actively being used in conventional warfare, not sitting in reserve as nuclear deterrent assets.

Degrading Russia's nuclear triad doesn't improve Ukraine's battlefield position and makes the whole world, including the US, less safe. This strike has little effect on Russia's ability to prosecute an attrition war that Ukraine cannot win.

Zelensky and Ukrainian oligarchs are looking for ways to establish contacts with Trump before the presidential election to influence his Ukraine policies. First it was Boris Johnson's meeting with Trump and his op-ed in the Daily Mail where he suggests how Trump could end the war in Ukraine. Johnson is Zelensky government's lobbyist and part of Ukrainian international task force on security and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine which includes members such as Hillary Clinton. Then followed the WSJ article called ''A Trump peace plan for Ukraine'' by David J. Urban and Mike Pompeo, two fellow Ukrainian lobbyists with Pompeo landing a job on the board of Ukrainian telecommunications company ''Kyivstar'' in late 2023. According to Ukrainian insiders the latter article was generously paid for by Ukrainian oligarch Victor Pinchuk. Now the former Trump aide Kellyanne Conway has registered as a foreign agent to lobby for Ukraine for $50,000 a month through a foundation run by the same Ukrainian oligarch Victor Pinchuk mentioned above.
