BUYOUT | Based on the wording in Ben Jacobson’s 2025 extension, which gave him a five-year rolling contract, the buyout to leave for Utah State appears to be: $0 (I’ve read it multiple times. It's $0 as long as he gave "advanced notice.") USU has some RevShare ammo from JC.

These long tenured mid-major coaches jumping ship is a really bad look for CBB. The sport is going down a dark route, and this phenomenon is a good representation of that.
