What a beautiful thing. TMZ is how these people deserve to get covered. Not with the weepy piety of hill reporters who all have politicians in their profile pictures but sicko, unhinged papparazzi who believe in nothing.
Violet@JiraViolet

NEW: TMZ has decided to up their presence in the political space — they’ve even added a Hill team. “Our DC presence will be sometimes fun, sometimes intensely serious,” Harvey Levin told @NOTUSreports Comes as TMZ blasts lawmakers for leaving D.C. notus.org/congress/tmz-c…

@TheParableMan @NeilShenvi @alisa_childers Posts like this are why this site needs laugh reactions. There’s literal documentation of what Summit was doing. The other side was given opportunity to tell their side and refused. JD gave up what he claimed his church was legally able to take rather than be deposed.

@corystaylor @NeilShenvi @alisa_childers Good thing the person you have in mind did not attempt to do so, and the only evidence anyone has of it is a very obviously fakeumentary with no journalistic integrity that only even bothered to show one side of the story. The agenda was obvious even a half hour in.

I've said from the beginning that the Apostle's Creed and the Nicene Creed are not enough. They are good and I affirm them. However, they were written in response to and/or under pressure by the heresies of their day, and spoke to specific doctrines that were under fire. For example, neither creed mentions anything about sexuality, yet Scripture is clear that the sexually immoral will not inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Cor. 6:9) So, can someone be considered an orthodox Christian yet celebrate fornication? I say no. The question of the essentials is much more complicated than simply asking, "Do you affirm the creeds?"
Holy Post Media@HolyPost_Media

The label “heretic” gets thrown around way too easily these days. If you profess the Nicene Creed & the Apostles’ Creed, you count as a legitimate Christian. Period. Christians will always disagree about important political & social issues and matters of doctrine. But at the end of the day, if someone affirms the essential truths outlined in the creeds, they are not heretics or apostates. 🎙️Holy Post 670 with @philvischer@skyejethani & @kaitlynschiess

I think one of the first things a man thinks when he meets another man is, I wonder if could I best him in hand to hand combat? Jen assures me this is not how women think. But is there a female equivalent?

@NeilShenvi @alisa_childers I agree. Say, for instance, a pastor who is surreptitiously attempting to steal a Church’s facilities, would be outside of orthopraxy and show themselves to be unregenerate.

@alisa_childers We also need to recover a proper understanding of orthopraxy. Someone can intellectually affirm correct theology and be unregenerate. See James 2:19!

Many pro-life Christians assume there’s no place for them in the Democratic Party. But @jamestalarico welcomes them, saying there may be more common ground than meets the eye. It's essential that Christians learn how to work together with others committed to justice, diversity, and equal rights, even when we don’t agree on every issue. That doesn’t mean abandoning our values and convictions. It means we're willing to work across differences and set tribal politics aside to serve the common good in a complex, pluralistic society. @juliew38138 @rgoodlaw Nobody said her calls were being recorded. The Special Counsel was just looking for phone records (i.e. what number was called or what number a call came from, plus time and duration). That's all that's available when law enforcement seeks phone records after the fact.

NYT adds important context for reporting on Kash Patel and Susie Wiles (plus oddity of Patel being Reuters' source for his own grievance). [1] "Requests for phone records are common in complex criminal investigations to establish timelines and provide proof of communication."

Question for @jrwhitehead in particular but happy to hear from others with legal expertise in religious matters: For those who understand & value Baptist polity + are interested in maintaining relationships at the local associational level & perhaps state level is it possible for a congregation to shield themselves from this decision by cutting ties with NAMB, formally stating the ending of the relationship, & yet continuing to work with other SBC affiliated groups?

The Supreme Court has declined to review the long-running legal dispute filed against our ministry, bringing the litigation to a close. Here is our statement. go.namb.net/certiorari

I am glad to support HB 570 and SB 738, two bills in the Tennessee legislature that would protect every preborn child in Tennessee from abortion by providing preborn children with equal protection of the laws. By protecting the lives of preborn children with the same laws that protect people who are born, we are simply loving our neighbors in the womb as ourselves. Tennessee now has the opportunity to set an example of how states can protect the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death. I am urging the Tennessee legislature to move these bills forward this legislative session. It’s both pro-life and consistent!
