I made $6200 (including music) this week from 15.5M engaged views but… “Shorts don’t pay”

New shorts channel, will get monetised in the middle of March and start making over $500 a day not long after

Update to this, the channels being doing alright so far, currently at an average of one a day, channel could go crazy with 2-3 but I’m gonna need to outsource to an editor as each vid takes 4 hours on avg, music rev is roughly another $5,000 (march was only monetised for 3 days)

It ended up being the end of march mb, first day made $480, $0.33 total music + Adsense rpm

Newer videos getting more and more momentum, the channel only has 15k subs, subs don’t matter for shorts

@KottenSFC I tried ts back in oct-nov, did 120 videos in 60 days and nothing, views actually went down haha, the one thing I didn’t try was testing different video lengths etc, I personally decided my effort was better spent on a new channel

Day 30 update of rebranding my 1M sub shorts channel Posted religiously every single day, some vids 5-20k, others below 1k Vids got good analytics, but did the mistake of deleting 200+ vids at once so my reach is cooked atm I'm rawdogging this fucking channel until it blows up

The last week and a half have in fact been fun, still need to get to 5m+ days tho, I’ll be monetised very soon🙏

The next few weeks of this channel should be very fun

Getting closer to 100% retention every video!🙏 channel currently has 45 shorts uploaded, we should start to see some momentum very soon

@SbitiJoe This channel only has 20 shorts but yeah totally agree just takes one video

I wanted to post this because this page as been not performing amazing recently But just wanted to show how 1 video can change things Excitement’s back, confidence is back etc

@SbitiJoe The only way I’ve seen it work is if you add the longform vid to related shorts, then you can slowly build a longform audience, seen someone get 1.5m long views from 50m short views

Has anyone had any success adding long form to a shorts page? Kinda wanna experiment with long form but I feel like I’m better off just creating a new channel for it What are your guys opinions on it? 🤔

Update to this channel, should be cooking soon, finally got a proper music deal that’s perfect for the channel so I’m now doing 2 videos per day

New channel update, still nothing crazy but the retention is getting better
