This work shows the potential of composite interfaces containing elastic polymers such as polyrotaxanes to mitigate challenges in operating ASSBs at commercially relevant pressures. It is one of the main highlights of our #Sinergia project funded by @snsf_ch @unifrchemistry

A massive congratulations to @alcforster successfully defending his PhD! He’s done incredible work proving the potential of organic surface coatings to stabilize high-voltage interfaces and transfering this knowledge to films. It’s a major milestone for the solid-state batteries

We also showed that resulting material can be used as a heterogeneous catalyst for the two step annulation reaction to form a quinoline derivative. We showed that by simply changing the solvent it is possible to realize product divergence using the same heterogeneous catalyst!

Had an amazing time visiting Zhejiang University, Chemistry Department @YanZhao517 , get to discuss very cool chemistry with the young faculty members, and as a final stop also visited Stoddart Institute of Molecular Sciences.. thanks to Prof. Feihe Huang for the kind invitation!

Proud PI moment… enjoyed visiting Yan and Tianhong at X’ian Jiatong University, where both of them are professors now, watch out for the exciting papers coming from their labs. They also have an amazing campus..
