@VanishedOmens This is how I feel about the .hack games. Sure I objectively put way more time into the original 4 games than GU simply because I was younger and had way more time. Doesn't make them better. I try not to look at things with rose tinted nostalgia glasses

It’s hard to articulate but I find something a little off with “it was my first therefore it is objectively the best one” I catch myself on this as well. I’m more interested when I hear people’s opinions on media that doesn’t boil down to “I grew up with it therefore it is”

@VanishedOmens Thanks bro! Dallas and fort Worth have a TON of retro stores. I had to really pick and choose on this trip so I just picked highest rated around my hotel. Next time when I go for Nier in August I'll try to see more. (Big win on completing the .hack guide book collection tho!)

One of the most important pop culture IPs growing up for me I was heavily invested in the sets, the merch, the TCG & soaked myself in the lore Those who know, know but Bionicle had a incredibly intricate storyline & methodology of storytelling above most toy lines in history

@HctorCo55949274 the overall story and character designs are so good in Wistoria. literally binge watched the entire first season in one sitting then continued by reading the manga. immediately hooked.

@VanishedOmens you can already solo almost 90% of the games content without interacting with other players. Thats generally how i play now days. I do all of the dungeons and such with the AI party members. the only real annoyance is when it gets to the "big" fights that make you play in a party

@VanishedOmens I spent so much time on so many different games back in the world 2000s. I tried Toontown but it was mostly pay walled behind a premium account. There was also all the cartoon network games. Oh and a .hack online fan game which I can only describe as being made in rpgmaker

Neopets & Gaia Online Never touched Club Penguin, and Toontown’s commercials are burned into my psyche & looked cool but never got a chance to try it out

please stop asking me to play final fantasy 14. in the 2 months i did play it, i became a total loser. my girlfriend dumped me and my old job almost fired me. it has inflicted more immediate and material damage to my life than meth.
