Actually not complicated. Fee-for-service medicine is the giant, fundamental flaw in the US health system. Those perverse financial incentives underlie so many woes. We have exactly the system we designed and pay for.

📣 STARS Clerkship Taskforce has a new JAMA Net Open paper: “Perspectives on High-Value Care Education Among US Med Students.” 119 students from 40 schools highlighted wide HVC variability—> 50% had no formal curriculum, 63% dissatisfied. Nationwide clerkship #HVC is needed.
