The grass fire along NB99 near Arno and Dillard is under control. It is contained to 35 acres thanks to the quick work of firefighters from Cosumnes, Wilton, Herald, and Sac Metro.

This afternoon units responded to a reported grass fire in Galt near Marengo Rd and Amador Ave. The fire was quickly contained to 14 acres with no damage to structures and no injuries. Cause is under investigation.

At 3:34 this afternoon units were dispatched to a report of smoke in the area of Wilton Road and the Cosumnes River. Multiple units from several agencies found an active wildland fire on the North side of the river.
