@idioticsynergy Was my concern as well. Doesn't do enough to differentiate from a standard Jump Pack Intercessor. They should have showcased the model with a Shield. And if they don't get shields anymore in the refresh, they need to give a darn good reason for their existence.

@KT_Carlisle Never feel bad about that. I give away TONS of free audiobooks (Arguably more egregious because of how much more Audibooks cost and the ROI on them). My stance is, I'm building an audience, and I'm asking people to take a chance on me as a self-published and self-narrated author.

Been getting some weird comments on my posts on my progress like I should be ashamed of giving so many books away for free and not making much money, so I’d like to say a few things: 1. I’m not in this for the money. I’m in this for the readers. If even 1% of the people who downloaded my first three books for free this month end up actually reading and enjoying them, then it’s worth it to me. And it didn’t cost me a thing to get their readership. 2. Some of y’all are acting like this is a permanent decision. It’s not. The opportunity to download the full series for free ends Wednesday. I did it as an Indie April special for the first week of the month, expecting maybe 50 downloads, and I’m somehow up to nearly 400. So yeah. I’m proud of that, and I reserve my right to celebrate. 3. Because of this promotion, I’ve had genuine sales increase for my other two books, which is amazing. Especially for INTUITION, which has all its proceeds donated to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, the organization that helped save my life. Not only that, but all five of my books are now in the Top 100 bestsellers in their respective categories. 4. Hopping on my posts to tell me I should be ashamed or that I’m not making enough money off this says more about you than it does about me. I’m proud of what I accomplished, and I think it’s truly bizarre behavior to try to convince an author that they should feel bad about getting readers just because they aren’t earning hundreds/thousands of dollars for it. Like, you do realize that this is a marathon not a sprint, right? I know an author on here who gave away over 20k copies of their debut in its first year of being published. Even for freebies, that download rate is unheard of. She’s now sitting on a trad book deal that she still has yet to announce publicly. Maybe instead of being judgmental, you ought to think more about how to apply this strategy to your own marketing efforts. Anyway, here’s my latest progress report. And you’re damn right to assume I’m proud as hell. 🥳

@NornQueenKya Damn, thats clean. Ive been meaning to tackle my office to get a proper display set up for my stuff tackled. I bought a shelf for my miniatures, but it somehow got taken over by my kids and theirs instead.

Easter Cleaning! Basically putting all my orks up when the displays freed up room. Put the world eaters up. Boyz/gants/genestealers binned Going to use the drawers for tau/ork terrain So much progress. This last year got... really crazy...

@Rman_RoR I took your advice and pre-ordered it! My miniatures won't look at as good as your beautiful Dorn army, but I'll paint them up as Blood Angel vehicles to help round out my growing army.

僕は日本の趣味人からはちょっと狂ったヤバい人という感じなのか、旧来の知人友人以外からは遠巻きに扱われている感じがしていたけど、海外の趣味人は気軽にリプライをくれて、すごく嬉しい。 まぁ承認欲求が云々って話になっちゃいますが、ここ数日でこんなに構ってもらったこと無かったんで、つい嬉しくて。
