@bgamerjoe The logistics for Con of the Rings vs GenCon for swag was a big reason too (also pandemic). It was getting so big and expensive that hauling to GenCon wasn’t reasonable anymore and we stopped giving it out for free too for the same reason

@CotRPodcast Guess Con of the Rings made gencon less special. Makes sense

@bgamerjoe We basically moved all our operations to Con of the Rings. None of us has been back since the pandemic and idk if we would want to run an event at GenCon anymore since almost everyone on the crew does not have interest in GenCon (a couple of us still do plan on going again)

To clear things up—no, I am not working on @UnlimitedFFG! That team is composed of incredibly talented competitive card game designers: Daniel Schaefer, Jeremy Zwirn, and @davflamerock, to name just a few. My involvement has largely been limited to getting crushed in test games.

A clutch Elven Light into Dwarven Tomb into Elrond’s Counsel prevented me from threat out at 49, double Signs of Conflict shadow was bad as was Patrol Leaders never allowing themselves to be damaged lol. Had a very slow start that almost cost me

NM Hills of Emyn Muil. This is my turn 1 planning hand and play; have Jimrahil, nail 3 great allies with Emery, Caldara lasts not even one planning phase. Took forever to win, over 45 threat, played like 85% of my allies lol

About 54 left since I just got mine. Come have a good time, the Con is great for new players too, not an elitist attitude at it, you’ll have lots of fun too, lots of intermingling (except from me who is vlogging a lot, I will always have the phone out ready to record lol)
