Formula 1 club had a superb day at Silverstone yesterday! 🏎️🏎️🏎️

We have arrived at Silverstone for the F1 in Schools World Finals! 🏎️🏎️🏎️

Today we welcomed Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant, Mrs Elizabeth Fothergill CBE, to our school. @LLDerbyshire The school choir performed two songs and sang beautifully. 🎶 We also planted an apple tree for the Queen's Green Canopy. 🌿

4JG were bug hunting this afternoon! 🐞

Some Year 6 pupils are making a herb garden.🌿It was a lovely afternoon today working in the shade. 🌞

The first produce from the vegetable garden were ready today. 6LH enjoyed tasting lettuce and radishes. 🥬

Some Y6 pupils have built a new raised bed. I wonder what they will grow? 🌱🌱🌱

This week, some of our Year 6 pupils were cooking outside in the new Forest School area. Pupils made butter and cheese, and then cooked their own burger. 🍔🍔🍔

Today we planted a pear tree for the Queen's Green Canopy. Plant a tree for the Queen's Jubilee! The Mayor of Erewash, Councillor Donna Briggs, opened our wonderful new forest school area. 🌿🥕🌞🪴

What a beautiful sunny day! 🌞 The new fire pit area is looking good, and children have brought in their plants grown at home. 🪴
