“We're all called to represent Christ in the networks of our daily life and we are called to build bridges. It is what St. William of York did. It is why he is worth remembering. It is what we must do too.” Here’s my sermon in full, given during a special commemorative service for St William of York. archbishopofyork.org/sermon-800th-a…

It’s a joy to be at @York_Minster today for a service commemorating the 800th anniversary of the canonisation of York’s patron saint, and one of my predecessors, St William of York. Starting at 5.30pm all are welcome. The service will also be live streamed. You can watch it here 👇 youtu.be/0JyLsXhxZ_0

This afternoon I set out on pilgrimage from @StPaulsLondon with fellow pilgrims and a wonderful send-off. We walked via Southwark Cathedral and will end the day with Evening Prayer at St Alphege in Greenwich. Please keep us in your prayers as we begin the journey to Canterbury.

On Thursday I will be at @MancDiocese for the next leg of my Lord’s Prayer Tour. You can read more about it here: bit.ly/3NGFiHl The Lord's Prayer is not just a prayer, but a way of learning how to live, a way of educating ourselves to know what God's will is for our lives and our world.

For Mothering Sunday, I’m reflecting on The Three Mothers - three icons by Regan O’Callaghan that now hang outside my office here at Lambeth Palace. Three ordinary mothers, hands open in hospitality, faithful to their church and to God. A reminder of the steadfast faithfulness of women whose service sustains our communities every day.

Please join in praise and thanksgiving for all those at @ManCathedral as they gather in celebration of the 150th anniversary of Mothers’ Union in the York Province today. The mission and ministry of @MothersUnion runs like a thread throughout the Anglican Communion - knitting together works of love and service, practical support for families often in challenging settings, and a deep commitment to seeking Christ in every opportunity.

I was at @york_minster in conversation on a new book ‘Breaking, not Broken: Ableism and the Church after Constantine’ written by the Revd Canon Timothy Goode. Having lived with disability for over thirty years, Canon Tim draws on both lived experience and theological reflection to explore how ideas of bodily perfection have shaped Christian theology, practice and imagination, often to the exclusion of disabled people. 📷: York Minster

Yesterday I was part of a panel of faith leaders and media commentators, talking about the future of religious broadcasting. "It's a hard thing to fight for religious and public service broadcasting, but I believe it is a precious bulwark against polarisation, intolerance, prejudice and chaos.”
Religion Media Centre@RelMedCentre

The green paper on the BBC Charter Review is up for public consultation, and in this Religion Media Centre briefing, faith leaders and media commentators discuss how religious broadcasting will develop in a time of technological and societal change religionmediacentre.org.uk/rmc-briefings/…

It was a joy to visit Beverley Minster to see their new art exhibition "Threads through the Bible", which runs from 4 March - 22 April. These beautiful tapestries are by the artist Jacqui Parkinson. @DioceseOfYork
