@AdriWindGB @djpyscho10646 I think the crunch held the mode back. They were supposed to have a second studio to handle subspace but they couldn’t find the right partner Would love to see them take another swing at it. It’s still the coolest side mode of any smash game Fair critique tho

@djpyscho10646 it IS the coolest thing ever but: -No voice acting -Generic worlds and enviroments -Designed like watered down Kirby-styled gameplay and levels -Barely takes advantage of the fact that it's a crossover other than some neat character interactions

@ooneupgirl Seems like it was planned but got delayed based on Nate's podcast. I think they wanted something big and new after the movie but somehow I think Mario is gonna turn out okay anyway

Did people really expect a 3D Mario this year after having a new kart, a new tennis, Bananza, party DLC, Wonder DLC, and galaxy 1 and 2 with some new content all in less than a year? It was obviously gonna be 2027 or even more 😭

@CottrelloVision @KirPinkFury I think if we had a direct mid to late March, or one in early April a lot of this could've been avoided and kept under wraps. Though on the flip side leaks have seemingly coincided with the announcement of whatever leaked shortly after, so it could just speed up the proccess

@_Trey98 @KirPinkFury We generally know that Splatoon Raiders and FE will hit in that period of time. They'll likely do some dedicated trailer on their socials/app. We'll see if their new strategy works, but personally I'd rather find out about a game 1-3 months before release

@CottrelloVision @KirPinkFury It does suck in a way, but Nintendo has a very erratic disclosure period. They've got Tomodachi Life and Yoshi, with nothing else lined up for June onwards. Nate mentions that there likely won't be a direct until June, with no sign of what's coming next 1/2

@GenosPapa Yeah I remember learning about DKC Returns live on TV. Nothing is surprising anymore lol. I guessed DK in 2025, Mario in 2026 and Zelda in 2027 and was only off because they apparently delayed Mario

@Nintendojitsu Yeah, I would largely agree with you but the same guy who’s delivering the info about OOT speculated on the GTA 6 in the room so I’m sure it’s a conversation Nintendo is having, especially considering they’re somewhat similar target demos

The Nintendo Switch sold 155 milllion units and 1 billion pieces of software with a fraction of the support it has now. GTA 6 is a non factor to what Nintendo is out to achieve.

So Nate The Hate is saying an Ocarina Of Time Remake is coming later in the year. I am still skeptical about this and have a few thoughts. 1. First off whose making it, no way it can be the Zelda team they are preoccupied with the next Zelda? What team internally has the skill level to pull it off? 2. A remake as opposed to a remaster would take 4 to 5 years and youd have to fundamentally rethink every convention in the game and would require a crap ton of resources. 3. Surely this isnt their big holiday game if it does exist? or they release it in October. Ocarina Of Time is my third favourite game behind RE4 Remake and Super Metroid, I love it to death but let's be real no way can this go toe to toe with GTA 6, and if I have to pick one game during Xmas I am 1000% picking GTA 6 over a remake of Ocarina Of Time and I guarantee many others will too. My belief was always an updated version of Ocarina Of Time on 3DS was more plausible.

@Andy_VGC people have been coping for months pretending DK didn’t replace the next 3d mario even though it looks like odyssey and the UI is similar to odyssey and the characters talk like odyssey characters and it plays like a 3d mario

@Johnathon2015 I'm sure they want as close to 100% digital as they can get without pissing major retailers off. They love having that space inside every Target etc so it's a tricky balance to walk. They can't say "it's a discount because we would rather have you buy it direct" imo

Wasn't Nintendo last year saying Switch 2 games were $70 because of larger development efforts for some games deeming an increase as necessary? Now they're saying Switch 2 games were $70 because of the costs of selling physical versions? I smell bullshit till further notice.
