26 years ago, at 18:13 hours, six Worcester Firefighters paid the ultimate sacrifice while trying to save other lives. We’ll never forget them and continue to honor them. Paul Brotherton, Jerry Lucey, Tom Spencer, Tim Jackson, James Lyons, Joe McGurik. We honor six brave heroes.

I am most grateful to be re-elected to the Worcester City Council for my 11th term. I appreciate everyone who came out and supported me with their votes. It means the world to me!

I was honored to speak tonight at the Worcester Fire Department promotion and award ceremony this evening. Four were recognized for bravery at a water rescue at Coes Pond and there were 14 promotions, 1 Deputy Chief, 2 District Chiefs, 3 Captains and 8 Lieutenants.

Please avoid known flood areas. If you don’t have to go out, please stay safe and dry. Fire, Police and EMT’s are very busy right now.
