SJE Fourth Graders are expert decision makers! With a Little motivation from Kid President, our Allstars generated school choices and possible consequences (both positive and negative). Check out their responses:

Second Graders explored the idea of a “rule-free” day at SJE! Top ideas inlcuded: water slides at recess, unlimited iPad use and a “mountain of chicken nuggets” in the cafe. Upon further discussion, we concluded rules and integrity based decisions keep SJE a safe/fun place 😁

When Reuben finds a $100 bill , he must choose between buying his dream bicycle or doing the right thing by returning the money. 🤔 Such a great book and one of my favorite lessons for teaching integrity. Thanks to Ms. Henry’s First Graders for reading with me today!

September is National Suicide Prevention Month. Together, we can make a difference by supporting one another, raising awareness, and prioritizing mental health. Let’s always choose kindness and compassion.

“Bug and a wish” is a great strategy for students needing a structure to communicate in conflict. For my Kinder student, it sounds like: “It bugs me when you grab my crayons. I wish you would ask first.”
