Okay so I've heard a lot from people "don't bother with X, you're never going to convince someone of what you believe, everyone on the app is just angry and opinionated." To some extent, that's true. But I was watching the founder of Babylon Bee talk about how he got started on YouTube last night. It just kind of hit me that the actual freedom of speech on the internet wasn't a thing for a while there and may have very well continued to not be a thing. He talked about how his content inspired people at first just by proving there was still people out there that aren't insane. That that was when conservatives, Christians, normal people etc discovered they could push back because they weren't isolated in their beliefs. I think it is important to post what you believe wherever you are on the internet, if for no other reason than to prove you exist. To encourage others who believe what you believe. You may never convince someone, but you definitely won't if you never try. I also wonder how many people in my replies, that I reply to and they don't respond, go away and think about what I said. How many people read the conversations without liking or replying themselves. We cannot claim to know the effect truth has on people. If nothing else, we're planting seeds the Holy Spirit will continue to water and cultivate long after the short interaction online is over. After all, God's word does not return void. (Isaiah 55:11)
