Having to reduce my hours at the homeless centre makes me feel like a failure. However, I also know that my mental health is just as important as volunteering. The last month on sick leave showed me that I was asking too much of myself and neglecting my own needs.

@traanvandezee you are lucky then. chronic pain is no joke. i shall be listening to this!

Unfortunately I do know about chronic pain. This book sounds interesting and I will definitely check it out.
