@LakerTakeover24 @PolitlcsUK No. It's this. Burnham has been in power and his actions have been to declare an illegal war and refuse rape gang enquiries. V Kenyon has never been in power. In the UK we judge actions NOT social media posts / words. Kier said Smash the Gangs - he lied.

@CountyKev82 @thecouriersport Sidibeh is for sale when his agent says he is for sale. He will simply pack his bags and move to wherever his new club is and you’ll have no say in the matter 🙈

After the resounding 3-0 win against Chelsea in late March, Everton had registered 46 points from 31 games. David Moyes’ side would have only needed eight points from their final seven matches to achieve qualification for the Europa League and possibly seven (depending on goal difference) for the Conference League. Had they kept pace with their points-per-game total (1.48) up to that point, a place in Europe would have been theirs. But instead they took a meagre three (at 0.43 ppg), conceding a series of debilitating late goals and faltering at just the wrong moment. There will be much focus on Moyes’ future, with the Scot heading into the final year of his deal this summer. All the indications so far suggest that The Friedkin Group admires the job the 63-year-old has done until now and believes him to be a steadying influence. The main focus from TFG has been on incremental growth over time, with the club having budgeted for a 12th-placed finish. @Paddy_Boyland on how Everton’s European hopes evaporated — free to read: bit.ly/4uZxhNy

EUROPA LEAGUE was never the dream. Not because I didn’t want it. Because if I’m being honest, I never thought it was possible. What kid would? Especially when 12 years ago I was playing non league football in the Ryman Premier and Conference South, just trying to stay alive in the game. What kid dreams about Europe when, two weeks into the off season, his dad has to tell him he’s been released by Watford F.C. over the phone? I was heartbroken. My dad looked at me and said: “What are we doing tomorrow?” To which I replied with the words he’d drilled into me my whole life: “We’re training, Dad.” So we trained. Every single day. My dad emailed every EFL club asking for an opportunity. One club replied. One. That was all I needed. An opportunity. @WealdstoneFC and @wwfcofficial , I’ll always be indebted to you. Then came the move to @SunderlandAFC . A massive club. A massive opportunity. And I couldn’t wait to prove myself. But 45 minutes into my debut… hooked. “Rabbit caught in headlights. Waste of money. Get rid.” Then came the Championship. “He’s not good enough for this level.” Then the Premier League. “Let’s give him a debut and then get rid of him.” I understood the doubt. I’ve faced it my whole career. And truthfully, you doubt yourself too at times. But I’ve always tried to live by one mindset: Outwork your doubt. You don’t always need to see the full journey. You just need to take the next step. Then the next one. And then another. Even when social media tells you you’re not good enough. Even when the voice inside your own head whispers the same thing. Keep working. Keep learning. Keep showing up. Because sometimes the places you end up are bigger than anything your younger self could’ve ever imagined. To any young player reading this, don’t put a ceiling on yourself too early. You genuinely have no idea where this game and life can take you. And to the boys… thank you. You removed the glass ceiling I’d placed on myself. What a team. What a club. What a fanbase. Sunderland… rocking all over Europe ❤️🤍 And in the words of Granit Xhaka: “This is just the beginning.”

The record temperature for May was broken by an entire 2C today, and tomorrow it is likely to be even warmer. The Met Office has been recording temperatures all around the UK for 173 years. This is not a blip it is a very serious problem.

Upon reflection…. Late last night, we crossed the footbridge next to Aviva Studios and looked at the reflection in the River Irwell of one of the most important bridges or viaducts in the world. This is Stephenson’s viaduct from 1830 on the first inter-city railway line on the planet. The reflections look solid as though one could just step into the water and walk that entrancing reverse curve. What are we seeing in Manchester here? Two broad but sweet segmental arches (these are arches less than a full half-circle) leaping the river and made from big beefy squared off and smoothed sandstone blocks. At the edges the stone has weathered, softening the structure, making us aware of the years that have passed since construction: telling us, literally, that a lot of water has passed under the bridge. The design is efficient, smart, and because of that simple fitness for purpose, beautiful in how it looks and what it does. It’s cleverly slewed at an angle across the river too. In these views the bridge/viaduct lives up to its position as one of most significant in human history. jonathanschofieldtours.com @visit_mcr @BBCRadioManc @MENNewsDeskList

So it seems Reform Party Ltd candidate Rob Kenyon lied about being "a plumber for 20 years" lied about his social media history, lied about his antisemitic views, lied about his family history. Should fit right in with Farage in that case.

@scfc_jb If you're telling me in Jan to take Dalby or Tanto I'd take Tanto all day long. Think his lack of game time up to Xmas screwed him sadly. We also turned down a mill for Diamond. The subs killed us

Reflecting on yesterday, it’s clear to see we lost the game due to poor squad depth. They brought on Sam Dalby and Cissoko, we brought on Tanto Olaofe and Jack Diamond. Keeping Sidibeh is a must. Build the squad around him and Ollie imo #StockportCounty

Great header from Adama Sidibeh to level the game, but Bolton are starting to look a bit shaky at the back... Bailey had all the time in the world to set himself for the cross, and Johnston just peeled off Sidibeh too much to allow the space in the box.

Bournemouth sold *check notes* Zabarnyi for £57m, Huijsen £50m, Kerkez £40m, Ouattara £45m and Semenyo for £65m in January for a very grand total of £257m *checks maths. not a strength*. Bournemouth continued playing attractive, winning football, ending the season unbeaten in 18, sixth in the table and qualified for Europe for the first time ever in their 127 years. Iraola has done a magnificent job – and so has Bournemouth’s recruitment department. Kroupi and Scott the latest gems being polished. Senesi, a £12m signing from Feyenoord four years ago, leaves a free agent to Spurs with plenty of good wishes following his fine defensive service over 128 games. Bournemouth get good value out of players and/or good value for them. Well-run club. Pity that Iraola is leaving and missing out on the European adventure that he helped secure. Leaves team in good shape for incoming Rose. Coaches and players...it's all in the succession planning. #AFCB
