harold covington was a nobody whose only real contribution to white nationalism is being so unlikeable that no one else of his era wanted anything to do with him, so he went off and founded a weird larp group that, despite being gone for almost a decade, people to this day still skinwalk as every now and again. he wasn't even a cascadian native. covington spent his entire life bouncing around from north carolina to rhodesia to europe to various places in the americas and never managed to build anything permanent. he wrote his books, and then sat on his ass and waited until his death for someone else to go out and create his wignat utopia for him. i will say though, the northwest books were better fiction than turner diaries. turner diaries is so gratuitous. the northwest books at least try to be interesting as speculative fiction. still though, the books reveal the remarkably poor logic behind the NWTI. the logic is something like: white people are being replaced and going extinct, so the solution is to just....give up, we lost, it's never been more over, the jews won (????) so we have to isolate ourselves to a region where, while admittedly less bleak than other regions when you're talking about natural resources, you're still not going to be able to establish a completely autarkic nation--which is what you're going to need, because no one in the world is going to want to treat with you. and then presumably that's going to be the only nation on earth with an all-white population, and is somehow not going to wither away while being hated by the entire world and degenerate into a failed state. oh, except we're not even going to get there in the first place because the entire population of cascadia is either 1. extremely progressive or 2. extremely libertarian and all of them hate us, and on top of that we're not going to beat the US military anyway, because we aren't actually the PLA or the taliban and we're just posturing... like, what is even the point of northwest front larping. seriously.

Half the ops are just ironypoisoned and don't ACTUALLY believe in anything real. Even if they did they'd never take steps to achieve it. Demanding addresses like they even have a car 😭
