Fun fact: for the first genome sequenced from Connecticut, the turnaround from sample receipt to genome was just 13.5 hours!

New case surveillance update today - highlights: cases in CT have risen slightly, cases in RI have fallen slightly. Both states working to vaccinate, and CT is the first state in the US to vaccinate >2% of its population. Read more: covidtrackerct.com/portfolio/case…

Research groups in the UK and South Africa have been tracking the spread of a new variant of #SARSCoV2, rapidly spreading in those countries. Although we still don't have evidence of the circulation of those variants in Connecticut, our group is vigilant. covidtrackerct.com/portfolio/upda…
