Two years ago I got scammed for $2000. The worst part about being scammed was the anger towards myself for allowing that to happen. In this situation I was never getting the money back from this person because they completely vanished. $2000 isn't an amount anyone is going to help you with so I had to just forgive myself and let it go. Last night that person came up to me (out of nowhere) and returned the money. It was a quick, brief exchange and completely took me off guard. It's wild but the main feeling I have is not happiness to get the money back, but happiness that I didn't allow myself to crash out to a larger extent during that time. Our time is the most valuable thing we have and spending it dwelling on negativity is a cost higher than we understand.
