@TSNBobMcKenzie @MacLeodLisa This has to be slippery slope for the OHL or CHL. Its an amateur league historicaly run and played in a professional manner. These kids require traditional hockey with contact. I don't know the science, but wouldn't they need access to the same level of testing as the NHL ?

@jasontryfon Players will spend far more time sitting beside each other on the bench, in dressing room and on buses. Those things need to happen for a game to be played, do not see how eliminating the puck contact part is what may get the player infected. No medical proof against contact.

@TSNBobMcKenzie @MacLeodLisa I'd probably push to eliminate spitting more than bodychecking if it were me deciding on the protocols.

@MacLeodLisa 3. b) Do the Ontario doctors advising the government on this have different or better information than their counterparts in other provinces? The BCHL has been playing games this season. I presume Dr. Bonnie Henry signed off on those?

@MacLeodLisa So many questions, and I’m not professing to have all the answers: 1. Can someone explain to me how so-called “bodychecking” is inherently more threatening re:Covid than standard battles for the puck that are essential aspects of even so-called non-contact hockey?
