Winner of six straight, the Gaels (16-3) picked up 23 first-place votes, followed by Gonzaga (14-6) with 4, Drake (16-2) with 2, and Princeton (12-4) and UC Irvine (17-2) each received 1 first-place vote. Three new teams are ranked with this week with Yale (9-6) checking in at No. 22, Akron (12-5) at No. 23 and Cleveland State (14-6) at No. 24. Now in its' 26th season, the Mid-Major Top 25® is voted on by 31 Division I coaches. Queens head coach Grant Leonard is the chairman of the voting panel this season.

This has to be the best a Cleveland State team has performed against a zone defense in my 30 years watching the team. Vikings were attacking from all over the court - Great ball movement, timely offensive rebounds. Hopefully a sign of things to come for this team. #GoVikes

@pronkville08 Interesting thought. I did a quick look and Tyree Appleby had 37 at home against BG way back when. The other game that sticks out in my mind is Hodge going crazy at Fort Wayne.
