Ramsons are exploding onto the scene in many places. We've been gathering from this patch since mid-january. This lot is destined for the first fully, Ramson lacto-ferment of 2020 - added some to red cabbage & chipotle chilli ferment two weeks ago. Lovely Scarlet Elf Cups out 2

They do contain oxalic acid which, in very large quantities isn't good for you. Onions & cabbages if eaten in large quantities have adverse effects on health & they are 2 common & staple foods. Research is a gd thing

@CraigEdibleLeed @YorkshireWater @EnvAgencyYNE Morning Craig! We suspect that the source of this effluent pollution is from unmaintained Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs) which feed into the Beck. CSOs allow liquid soil waste into water courses during exceptional rainfall to alleviate pressure on the sewerage system.

⚠️ WARNING⚠️ Please keep all dogs and children well away from Gledhow Beck for the foreseeable future. A very serious incident has occurred with disgusting smelling pollution entering the water course. We are sick to death of living with this @YorkshireWater @EnvAgencyYNE 😡😡😡
