Protestors restricting access to Rosslare Europort in Co Wexford have stood down their protest. The vehicles blocking the village of Kilrane have been moved away and the fuel protesters themselves have now walked away peacefully. @rtenews

One thing I've not heard anyone answer is, beyond the €250mn reduction in fuel taxes already in effect (costing the exchequer €4mn a day) where the shortfall should be made up from if we are to cut taxes substantially further? Spending on schools, hospitals, road maintenance?

@CorkGourmetGuy If a single farmer, truck driver, bus driver, delivery worker, transporter ends their life due to rising fuel costs and no relief should govt be held accountable? It's a very nasty scenario unfortunately.

If a single person dies because an emergency vehicle couldn't get to them, or get them to where they could get help, every single person responsible for these blockades should be held accountable
