If I had to overcome anxiety again, I’d do things very differently!
After 15 years of struggling with anxiety, panic disorder, and agoraphobia, here are the 3 biggest lessons I wish I’d learned sooner:
1️⃣ Educate yourself from the right source
Anxiety isn’t dangerous, and recovery isn’t about eliminating it — it’s about building tolerance and resilience.
2️⃣ Practice self-compassion
You can’t bully yourself into healing. Speaking kindly to yourself (especially in tough moments) changes everything.
3️⃣ Let go of the timeline
Recovery isn’t a race. It’s about showing up for yourself in small, consistent ways every day.

CBT is one of the best ways to reduce anxiety. It helps you change unhelpful thoughts and face the things you’ve been avoiding (hello, exposure therapy). It’s not easy—but it works.
