Back-to-back Otega Oweh turnovers as he continues to struggle simply holding onto the basketball. Kentucky’s overly complex OB Under defense led directly to a wide open 3 for #1 Lee as well. Had some chances in those first few minutes…but the result is being down 8-2.

@vaughtsviews26 @CoachMarkPope Kam +/- + 193 4 pts behind team leader D Aberdeen. He is a versatile glue guy who is about winni g. Going to be a lot more than that soon.

“He has a unique ability to have a positive impact on the game, especially defensively with his length. He's pretty assignment sound. He gave up one today. He was pretty good. Banged a 3 for us, which is super helpful" @CoachMarkPope on Kam Williams

Final: Kentucky 91, Vanderbilt 77 A no-doubt-about-it victory for the Cats, dominating Vanderbilt from start to finish. Collin Chander was magnificent today, making 6 of his 8 three-point attempts. Great sign for UK.

@BRamseyKSR The context of the # of quality sec teams in last 5 to 7 yrs vs past is important when people start throwing out uk won loss records of recent teams vs previous coaches or times. It is magnified some as uk has been down some the last 5 yrs too.

The improvement of the SEC is truly staggering. Georgia (KenPom #41) & Missouri (KenPom #55) rank 10th and 13th respectively in the SEC this season. In 2016, they would have been 5th and 6th. Also in 2016, Kentucky lost @ #189 Auburn. On Saturday they will play @ #30 Auburn.

@EvanMiya @BRamseyKSR I would assume to get lots of kill shots you need to create TOs, score alot in transition and hit a alot of 3s. UK doesn't do that. They tend to attack the basket more in come backs

@BRamseyKSR Will talk about this on tomorrow's episode of my show, but this was definitely the most surprising data point on here given all the comebacks Kentucky has had. But it's like you said, more methodical over time instead of all within a 2 minute stretch.

Obviously "Kill Shots" are just one way to measure scoring runs, but it is interesting that Kentucky is in the "less streaky" bubble despite having so many double-digit comebacks. They just come more methodically than all at once.

Huge win for Vanderbilt at Kentucky tonight. Was really impressed with the Commodores’ fight at the end here. Plus, Aubrey Galvan’s perfect free throw shooting on the night sealed the deal.
