What’s actually wild about the fact that I’ve had a flu is not the fact I’m rarely sick, it’s the assumption that this wouldn’t happen after getting my usual yearly flu shot Not COVID shot, the usual one I’ve been getting every winter since I was a kid because my respiratory system is immunocompromised. First time this has ever happened to me. Have any of y’all gotten the very flu you went to your GP to get protected against? Alhamdulillah better, but concerning with respect to the inability of what were once reliable defences (FOR, I REPEAT -ME, MYSELF AND I - SO PLEASE CALM DOWN) against sickness.

@theafroaussie Flu shots are essentially based on predictions of which strain will dominate, it's not 100% but it absolutely saves us tons of admissions in the hospital, and can prevent some transmission. 100% worth it.
