The manner by which Shinra solved the issue of humanitys collective consciousness wishing for death was to create a world based around the same foundation that Soul Eater's is. Ohkubo then successfully tied every single loose end to connect both series

@FlameKaizerX Jesus Christ, animation is not graphics cards. It doesn't inherently get better over time. Objectively the most consistently good animation in anime was in the 80s OVA era when they had infinite money and resources to throw at anything they wanted to make.

Actually, it's absolutely insane how good the animation and art are for such an old anime.

@souls_max The fact that a ton of people continued to deny it was a prequel until Death was created and said to call him at 42-42-564 is insane when there was so much more being referenced before that.

@cr1sco_ The reason why it's okay with Fire Force is because the villains were simply granting humanity's own subconscious wish to die. Shinra eliminated the reasons for why humanity wanted this, so the villains no longer had a reason to do what they were doing and were no longer an issue

“Why did Fire Force get away with revivals blablabla” You can hate revivals period that’s fine but at least when FF did it, it RESPECTED its “themes and such” since it’s utilized heavy religious themes and talks of “saving humanity from the flames” the entire series

Soul Eater Remake Coming Soon?

@Milfslammer69 @CatboyAutopsyX3 Soul Eater is one of many classic anime that got anime-original endings and many of those series have gotten remakes recently. Fire Force is a prequel to Soul Eater and that is ending, so it's a more likely time than ever for it to happen. No one is saying they're certain of it.

@Hades3444175797 @souls_max When he was coming up with and writing Fire Force. You don't need to plan a prequel while writing the story that it's a prequel to. Soul Eater has established things in its lore and Fire Force established those things by its end. Every loose end was tied up, so it's a success.

@Hades3444175797 @souls_max Ohkubo said he started Fire Force intending to connect it to Soul Eater somehow and figured it out about halfway through, which is when the moon first appeared. After you see the final episode you'll see that there are no loose ends. He set up everything he needed to make it work

@souls_max I dont know if this was planned from the beginning so I think a lot of things in soul eater might not make sense when trying to connect to fire force. But I dont know for sure. There’s definitely some loose ends
